Nest Pricing
The Nest Aware subscription for Nest Cams starts at $8 per month. If you choose to pay for a year upfront, it will cost you $80 a year. There is also a Plus account which costs $150 for a yearly subscription. These subscriptions offer more video history, smart alerts, and other useful household features. Please note that when you cancel a Nest Aware subscription, you'll lose your sound detection clips and any video you haven't saved. So, it's recommended to save important clips before cancelling. Also, the 1st gen Nest Aware subscriptions will no longer be available for purchase after July 13, 2023. Any subscriptions that you currently have will continue to renew. For continued coverage, it's suggested to subscribe to the latest Nest Aware.
Payment Method
To change the payment method for a Nest Aware subscription, follow these steps:
- Go to Your subscriptions.
- Select Change payment method for the subscription to be updated.
- Select a payment method > Update.
For Nest Renew subscriptions, they are automatically renewed monthly from the day of sign up. The subscription can be cancelled at any time. To cancel a Nest Aware video recording subscription for cameras and doorbells, go to Google Store Subscription Management.
Remember, only the Nest Renew account holder (the person who signed up for Nest Renew via the app or web) has access to all the subscription information. If not the Nest Renew account holder, all the options listed won't be found when visiting the Nest Renew portal in the web browser.
For any billing issues or to switch from a trial to a paid subscription, visit the Subscription Management page to change the plan.
Please note that some emails provide critical information, like a monthly receipt, and unsubscribing from them is not possible.

How To Open A Nest Account?
To open an account on nest.com, follow these steps:
- Download the Nest app on your phone or tablet from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- On the Nest app home screen, select Sign in with Google.
- If you have a Google Account, you’ll be prompted to use it to sign in. Select Continue.
- Select the Google Account you want to use in the Nest app, or select Use another account if you have an existing account that’s not listed.
- You’ll need to let the Nest app access specific data from your Google Account. Select Info for more information on what will be shared and then select Allow.
- You’ll be asked if you have an existing non-migrated Nest Account. If you're creating a brand new account, select No.
- Review the Google Privacy Policy, this Privacy FAQs article, and our commitment to privacy in the home to understand how Google will handle your data if you use a Google Account with Nest services. Read and accept the Google Terms of Service as supplemented by the Nest Terms of Service and select Continue.
- Follow the instructions in the app to now set up your home.
Remember, you won’t need a Nest app account to use all Nest products, but you’ll need one to access and control your Energy, Safety and Security products (except Nest Thermostat) with the Nest app. If you can't remember signing into a Google Account, check for an existing account. You'll get a message “No account found” if there isn't a Google Account associated with your email address.
Nest Return Policy?
The return policy for Nest devices is as follows:
If not satisfied with a Nest device, it can be returned. Before returning, it's important to perform a factory reset on the device. This clears any data from the device. To return the device for a refund, the refund policy and return steps of the retailer it was bought from should be reviewed. If the device was purchased from the Google Store, there are specific instructions on how to return a device for a refund. If the device was purchased from a different retailer, their website should be checked or they should be contacted for return information.
In terms of warranty, Nest Labs warrants that the enclosed Nest-branded product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year (if the Product is a Nest Thermostat E or a Nest Temperature Sensor) or two years (for any other Product) from the date of delivery following the original retail purchase.
If the original purchaser of the Product is not satisfied for any reason, it can be returned in its original condition within thirty days of the original purchase for a full refund.
